Pokemon with a "*" next to their name have already been chosen as a starter. BUT: Pokemon on banned starter pokemon list have a "-" next to them, which means you CANNOT have them as a starter at all! Note: There are not many available, that is because banned pokemon make up most of the rare pokemon.
