Not so Much of a Rose Garden...

Arunima, now named Rose according to her trainer card, walked onto route 5. She wanted to start building up her team, that way she could catch the attention of Team Twilight and have them begging for her to join them. She had it all planned out: She would strengthen her pokemon, wait for them to come to her, then play a little hard to get. Then she would join them; they would then realize her power and she'll rise in the ranks to maybe even me head of Team Twilight! Everyone will quake in fear of her, she'll be infamous! She laughed loudly at the thought, and stopped when she heard a rustling in the bushes.

IT seemed a cloudy day in Feronia. Most people were carrying umbrellas because the forecast called for rain. Some pokemon were already walking around, most were from trainers. But one wasn't and was heading right towards Rose.


A wild Trubbish appeared!

Rose was disgusted by the weak and putrid thing that approached her. She wrinkled her nose and sent out Beelzebub. The Deino smelled the trubbish and nearly wretched, he grew enraged and sent a dragon breath at the Trubbish from his trainer's command. Rose squealed and begged, "Get rid of it! Get rid of it!"

The trubbish knew the two were not friendly, ans it's stench appeared into the air. the trubbish was it with the move and decided to use a poison gas right off the bat, trying to hit both of the two for instantly attacking it.

Beelze managed the dodge the move, and used another dragon breath. It was his only attacking move he had, he felt pretty weak since it had a fixed damage.

Rose moved away with ease from the gas by moving upwind of it. She grew angry with the trubbish and ordered her pokemon to destroy it immediately.

The trubbish dodged the move and used another poison gas, then it came from the gas itself and came up with a pound. A group of people were gathered around the battle. Not everyday you see a new trainer Fail miserably fight their first fight.

Rose hated the spectators, she wasn't new to training pokemon, for Arceus's sake, she used to be admin in a different continent! She decided to show them her power over her pokemon, "Beelzebub, Dragon Rage!" she ignored the fact that the pokemon avoided the gas but was hit with a pound. Not really caring for the pokemon that protected her.

The trubbish was hit again, it wasn't very powerful and was already a bit weak, but it might as well try to defend itself. But just because the trainer wanted to Murder it severely injure it, it must torture Rose. then jump onto Rose.

Rose screeched in terror and flung the trubbish off of her. She growled and had her Deino attack once more. This time though, she had it use focus energy and a tackle. Beelze roared as he pumped himself up to attack and charged toward the Trubbish with a tackle coming in a deadly speed.

The trubbish fell backwards on the ground, it was slowly losing the rest of it's strength and could easily be captured if Rose wanted it. It will have to be quick before the trubbish fainted.

Rose didn't want the disgusting pokemon, she waved at it dismissively and had her pokemon finish it with a tackle attack. She huffed and felt much like a roman emperor that was deciding the fate of a gladiator, and she had made the thumbs down. Beezle screeched and charged toward the trubbish to finish it off.

And the trubbish was down. At the same moment the crowd booed. She could've just let it go off on it's own then attacking it while it's down. It started to rain just as the crowd dispersed. It was a light rain for 20 seconds then a heavy rain started.

Rose didn't care for the crowd, she returned her pokemon to it's pokeball and continued on, not caring for the rain. She smiled at the rush of power over the wild pokemon she had felt, and wanted more. She hummed a tune a smiled half heartedly, awaiting something to happen.

While the crowd dispersed, one man stayed. He was hooded and noticed how she showed no remorse for the wild pokemon. Nor did she care that the crowd booed her or caring for the rain. He noticed a bit of evilness in her eyes. He knew she was waiting for him. A member of Team Twilight. He decided to tail her for a bit.

Rose had noticed the man follow her, she pretended not to though. She hid a smile and continued forward, not planning to do anything until she was sure of this man's intentions. She guessed though that this man must have been important, the way he walked seem to suggest that he maybe subconsciously thought of himself as superior to everyone. She knew that this man was either a man of importance or a fool looking to battle.

The man removed his cap to reveal he was... The old man from the lab! The man kept following her until he sensed she noticed him. And she's noticed me... The man walked at a faster pace to catch up to the girl. "Hello."

Rose whirled around and instantly said in the nicest manner she could, "Yes? What is it?" she disgusted herself a bit, but she knew to act nice to others. Some might be from Kanto and recognize her infamous face. She didn't want to spark any memories, her hands were behind her back and on her pokemon's pokeball just in case the man wanted to battle or rat out on her if he recognized her.

The man smiled, She thinks I would go and tell on her. Cute... "I know who you are..." The man said. He also reached into his pocket and pulled out his pokeball, a sparrow, and handed it to Rose. "If you think I want to battle or turn you in the police, you are wrong." The man removed his hood. He looked around 23. "I'm Kenny, a member of Team Twilight, here to recruit you Arunima... Yes I do know your real name but not from your face, but from my own head. I'm a psychic."

Rose stared at the man with a poker face. She suspected him of lying and being a cop in disguise, but what if it was the real thing? She looked at the spearow in the pokeball and back at the man, "Your rank?" she asked. She wanted to know the mans name, so if anything goes wrong she'd know who to track and murder once she escapes jail. Her hand didn't leave her pokeball, she also debated taking his pokemon but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. She asked, "Why do you want to recruit me?"

He held his hand up. "Well one, I'm not a cop in disguise... Their aren't really many police stations around so even less undercover. Which all means team twilight has an easier job. But we know you were the right hand woman of Giovanni. He was good. Led many people to become criminals even most of Team Twilight. So we figured his assistant would be just as good."

Rose smiled sinisterly, "Okay, you have me hooked. What's the catch?" she asked. She knew there was always some kind of task to be performed, she wondered if her history was enough to get their approval though. Her hand didn't leave her pokeball, instead she tossed it up and down in the air several times as she waited for the man's answer. The deino inside was taking a little nap, she didn't care much for Beezle, it was a pokemon. Pokemon were tools. She was a human. Humans were made to use tools.

"Why does everything think there's a catch!? Okay you know what? If I start making a catch will you people stop? Okay um... Top of my head... You have to I don't know. Live with the old man at the lab You have to go buy 50 pounds of cake for the team? Except it has to be vanilla with a chocolate crumbs spread on top. Bleh, I'm terrible at catches. If you want something different. Rob two people of their pokemon. Even if they get them back it'll count. It shows you can steal well enough." Kenny sighed. "Yeah just do either one..."

Rose rolled her eyes, "Whatever." she mumbled. She searched around for a trainer, she could beat their pokemon and then take them. She didn't really plan on giving them back, if they were useless pokemon she would just toss them in the bushes. She told the man, "I'll be back." and went to search for a trainer.

"Alright, See ya!" Kenny said.

A little nine-year old was walking along, a poliwhirl next to him. He had his pokeball in hand. He was humming a song while the poliwhirl was happily going along with the girl. (You wouldn't take a pokemon from a little girl right?)

Rose smirked, easy target. She called out her Deino near the poliwhirl, who attempted to latch onto it as she moved to swipe the pokeball, a poliwhirl would be a pretty strong addition to the team. Maybe the man would let her keep this one. She shoved the girl aside as she dove for the pokeball, her Deino not caring that it was doing wrong.
