Arriving in the City.

Some could call this the place of love as that's what the lake is name for. Ed begs to differ, if the city of love was really in Feronia, it would be Skyford with Astro lake and all, but he doesn't even think it's in Feronia, he likes it that way though. It means nobody would expect too much of a difference from him. "Where to first?" Ed thought to himself. He hadn't gone to the first gym in Konoha, he just decided to continue to the next city to scout out the gym. He didn't actually know what type of gym it was. He learnt after entering it was a water type. "Now I feel a bit dumb..." There seemed to be a bit of water and puddles on the street leftover from a rain shower earlier. Good thing he wasn't facing the gym then. He heard some pokemon have the swift swim ability there. "Well I better start exploring this place a bit." He started walking through a crowd of people.

The girl and her Pokemon team were among Cadencia's entrance, Exeggcute not liking the sudden swarm of people and staying in it's Pokeball while Mimi was settled comfortably in Belle's arms. Belle was new to this city, having just arrived, and curiously looked around. Mimi barked at a stranger that passed by happily. She seemed to enjoy the water city. Belle did too at that time. They looked at each other and entered, excitement growing in both of them.

That feeling didn't last long.

After a while, the city being rather large, Belle and Mimi got lost by browsing almost everything happily. Neither could remember where the entrance was, mostly because Belle couldn't remember even if she wanted to. "Mimi," the girl whispered a bit nervously and her Pokemon looked up, "should we ask someone for help?" the Lillipup, seemingly understanding, barked to say "yes". Belle was near Ed now, and she walked over and tapped his shoulder a bit nervously. "Excuse me.. do you know where we are right now?" Mimi's nose twitched as her owner asked Edward a bit quietly. She barked at him as a greeting.

"Oh hello. Where you are? Well I would have to say Candencia! A city of love which in my opinion is just a bunch of lies." Ed looked around to see Belle. "My name's Edward, but I'm pretty sure we already met in the Forest of Wonders." Anubis looked at Mimi. "Riolu." (Hello!) "So yeah, Candencia City. Full of Canals and such. Lake off to the east a bit."

Belle blinked. "W-We did?" she said, surprised. Belle tried to remember as her Pokemon licked her hand once more. She looked at Ed with a confused look on her face. Stupid amnesia.. she thought, a bit embarrassed.

"I'm not sure I remember, but my name's Belle. Pleasure to meetcha." Belle smiles a bit. She chuckles at his response. "I meant where we are in Cadencia, silly." she grins. Mimi barks back at Anubis happily, "Lilliii~ Lillipup! ( Hello~ I think I remember you! )"

"O-kay..." That was odd "Well I'd guess near the middle,the gym is ahead that's why." Ed looked at Belle. Something seems off about her "Anyways, why are you here? I would think someone like you would fit into the coordinator category, and the contest hall isn't open right now..." Ed looked a bit confused. He wasn't sure why Belle suddenly forgot everything.

Belle tilted her head slightly as Ed seemed to give her a dirty look study her. Shoot! He noticed, she thought, mentally panicking but looking at ease on the outside. I'll just pretend he didn't notice.. she let out a little sigh ( half frustration, half calming down ) and smiled.

"I am," Belle chuckled, "and I'm also a trainer. I came to battle the Gym Leader, but I think we still need to get used to this place." Belle grinned and looked down at Mimi, who let out a yip. Then she looked at Ed. "Why are you here?" she asked, not trying to be nosy.

"Well I figured after training a bit, I wanted to scope out this gym. See if there's anything I want to watch out for since I want to go and get the gym in Konoha first. But maybe I'll go for this gym later... I might want to train a bit more." Ed looked around. It seemed like the city was quieter than usual.

Belle giggled. "Maybe I'll go watch you when you battle," she grins, "and we'll see if you need any more training!" she laughs. Mimi barks as if to agree. The girl blinked as she thought over what she said.

Here she was, saying she was going to go battle the Cadencia Gym Leader, when in fact she had never faced the Konoha Gym Leader. "You faced the Konoha gym leader, right? How did that go?"

"No I haven't I was thinking of going back and doing that first but no... Maybe soo though..." Ed looked at Belle. "So in other words I have no experience with Gyms either." Ed looked at the gym nearby. "So the gym is pretty much a cafe. Maybe I'll still try for a badge while I'm here. I might lose but why not?"

"YOLO" Belle hollered Belle smiled and nodded. The quiet water city made things a bit calming and relaxing, so the girl began to settle down. "I've never met the Gym Leader here before," she thought aloud, "do you know what they're like?" she was too late in stopping herself. It's official. I hate myself. she sighed quietly, hoping Ed didn't mind or think she was weird.

"Nope... I heard he tries to marry 16 year old girls But I think he's the owner of the Cafe too." Ed started walking then turned back. "If we're both gonna go and fight the gym, we might as well head out." Ed kept walking towards the gym. "Plus, I could go for a sandwich..."

"Oh. Well.. Okay, I guess." Belle blinked for a moment before looking down at Mimi, then following him. She giggled. "If you win, you'll earn your sandwich. Lead the way." Belle grinned.

Although it was a bright sunny day, a few large clouds loomed in the huge "clearing". It looked like it would rain soon. Belle wished she brought an umbrella or something before she left Unova. "I hope we don't get wet." Belle mumbled to herself. Mimi barked as a small raindrop fell on her small nose and Belle smiled.

"Well I would say weather forecasters said it was gonna be sunny, but then again... They said it was gonna be a blizzard yesterday in Candencia... I don't ever recall a cloud in the sky..." Ed reached the Gym/Cafe. "So I have to win before I eat... Looks like I'm gonna starve then!" Ed smiled. "Ack, being a pessimist is never helpful..."
