Rave Party!

The girl smirked. "Good choice," she laughed. "You'll be helping out a lot of.. badly treated Pokemon. We'll make 'em feel better~" Claire smiled, almost a bit deviously. She turned around and started walking towards the road to Wayward Cave. Claire motioned for Rave to follow. "Since we're a careful group, we have to hide inside somewhere, and I'll show you just where that somewhere is. Follow me." Claire began walking.

Rave nodded, slightly excited to be helping. Rufflet yawned as he rested on his shoulder, taking a slight nap out of boredom while standing. The rufflet was about to fall, Rave stopped to put his pokemon back into the ball. There was no point in Rufflet staying outside if it was just going to fall asleep out of boredom. The rufflet woke up and protested, but ended up inside the pokeball after a slight argument between the two.

Claire was a rather approachable person, and when she relaxed she began talking regularly, forgetting about the plan for a bit. "So! How'd you get that Rufflet of yours? That Tony kid said it was rare, but I didn't know it was true." Claire smiled. She seemed eager to learn a bit more about Rave since he was a bit quiet.

This dice is not existing.

[ Alrighty~ ]

"I got it from a lab." Rave said, he had temporarily let his guard down around the girl and blabbed it. He silenced himself as a pokemon appeared. He sent out his rufflet to challenge it, his rufflet instead glided back and began pecking at the Claire. He had decided he didn't like the girl. After a scolding from Rave, he returned to the field to fight the wild pokemon.

"The lab around here? Say, I heard a robbery took-" She was interrupted as a Patrat had standing in the middle of the worn road they were walking on. Claire only laughed as the Rufflet pecked her, it tickled a bit. "Show me your skills one more time." Claire grinned.


A wild Patrat appeared!

"Patrat, trat?" The Patrat looked a bit confused as it saw the trio coming towards it and mistook them for an enemy. It got into a battle stance and growled, ready for the first move.

"Don't think I have a choice." Rave replied. He nodded to the rufflet to begin the fight in whatever way he wanted. The hawk like pokemon grinned a bit and turned to the patrat.
The rufflet began with a leer, while coming in for a fury attack. Rufflet screeched at it in fury, viewing the rat as prey for a furious moment, as his beak attempted to hit the patrat multiple times along with a series of scratches from his claws.

The Patrat was affected by the Leer, and it took a step back with a frightened face. Because of this, it was hit by the Fury Attack. It put its hands/paws/claws toward its face in an attempt to protect itself, but failed and hurt its arms. Once the attack was over, it glanced at its wounds and hissed, obviously upset. It ran towards the Rufflet, attempting to use Tackle.

Rufflet was hit by the attack, it was still furious about Claire and wanted to take it's anger out on something. He swung back on the air back to the Patrat with another leer and a Peck attack. His beak grew longer as he moved to attack the patrat while leering at it.

The Patrat was once again affected, not looking away in time. It took a couple steps back once more, and was hit by the move. It tumbled back a bit before getting up and dusting itself off. This time, it was also furious, and glared ( Leer ) at the Rufflet angrily. It ran forward rather quickly, but stumbling a bit from its injuries. The Patrat leaped forward, aiming for the Rufflet's foot and attempting to use Bite.

Rufflet was affected by the leer, he grew a bit intimidated by the leer and his defense fell. He was too intimidated to move as he was bit by the patrat. His anger was relighted and he used the chance of the closeness of the patrat to use Fury Attack. He cawed in triumph of coming up with the idea and his beak and claws lashed out at the patrat, attempting to hit and deal as much damage as he can.

The Patrat stopped biting as soon as the Rufflet regained its anger, but was quick enough to avoid some of the attacks. It ran backwards, then turned and used Leer. It hissed once more before charging towards it, stumbling once more. The Patrat was stumbling enough to miss the Rufflet and hit Rave or Claire, but it managed and tried to hit the Rufflet successfully.

The rufflet took the attack to the humans wouldn't get caught by the attack. He screeched in pain as he took a critical. He began to breathe hard, Rave noticed this and called out, "Rufflet, come here!" the rufflet turned and hopped back to his trainer, unable to take flight due to the injury on his wing. Rave dropped to one knee and took a potion out of his bag, he sprayed the potion onto the rufflet and rufflet felt instantly better. It leaped back into the fray with a leer.

Claire watched with concern as Rave sprayed the Potion he found earlier on his Rufflet. "Be careful." she said quietly and in a sincere tone. She glanced at the Patrat, considering to capture it and demonstrate how the capsules worked. The Patrat was also beginning to breathe hard, and it took the time to catch its breath. It locked eyes with Claire curiously and cautiously, and Claire smiled.

The Patrat regained a bit of breath and was okay, and it stepped forward, ready to attack again or defend itself.

The rufflet notice the two exchange looks and spoke in pokemon, "I don't like her." he then turned back to the patrat and used another peck attack. The peck was mixed with a fury attack so it was like Peck was attacking multiple times, or the fury attack was stronger. He attempted to hit the patrat with all he could.

The Patrat, oblivious to the outfit Claire was wearing and how she was acting, tilted its head and was about to ask why before it was suddenly hit. It hissed furiously, trying to counter with a Leer. Then it ran forwards, attempting to Bite the Rufflet's other leg/foot, trying not to struggle and fall.

The rufflet was able to dodge the attack, he swirled around and attacked with another fury attack. Rufflet aimed to finish the Patrat off and claim his victory, he grinned as he charged toward the patrat. Rave wanted to smile but hid it, he didn't want to be smug about it and was ashamed that he even wanted to smile about it.

The Patrat couldn't take it anymore, and as soon as the move was finished, it fainted and fell on the floor. Claire paused, and ran towards the Patrat and crouched down, pulling out what looked like a Revive. She used it on the Patrat despite her not owning it, and the Patrat woke up, confused. It smiled at Claire and ran off, Claire watching carefully.

She turned back to Rave and his Rufflet, giving them a thumbs up. "Nice job, both of you." She pushed a strand of hair out of her face, turning around. "Let's keep going. We're almost there. Follow me," she said, starting to walk once more.

Rave nodded, he returned his rufflet as the rufflet turned to attack Claire once more. The rufflet was sucked into the pokeball and trapped in the red round ball. Rave put his pokeball in his bag and turned to follow Claire, "So, this group works to help pokemon right? How would I help?"

[ xD Sure. ]

Claire smiled. "That's right. We rescue Pokemon from awful trainers, but everyone accuses us of stealing." Claire's smile turned to a frown. What "everyone" said was true, they did steal. But Claire was lying, and.. you get the idea. "Sometimes we have to drastic measures, which is most cases, to save Pokemon. People just don't get it." Claire sighed.

"We try to recruit Pokemon trainers that are welcoming and gentle to Pokemon to make the job better, you know? You're an example of that, which is why I wanted you to join." Claire glanced at Rave to make sure he was getting all of this. Then she motioned towards the Rufflet's Pokeball. "Pokemon like yours don't trust us either, but we've gotten a bit used to that."

Rave listened carefully, he like the idea of helping pokemon. He nodded and said, "Okay, let's go to Wayward cave, you wanted to go there for something?" he offered. His face was still straight and he still looked a bit uninterested. He had been taught to do this at all times, he wondered if it did anything. He tossed the thought out of his mind and spotted a cave entrance, "Let's go." he said.
